Participants in our winter workshop are strongly encouraged to deliver presentations as a series of 50-minute mini-lectures delivered over the span of three days or six days. Participants interested in delivering mini-lectures should submit an abstract and additional artifacts under appropriate tracks for evaluation upon workshop registration. Participation fees are lowered for participants with mini-lectures.
Participants are also encouraged to submit ongoing work or project proposals, either academic or innovative in nature, as artifacts for evaluation upon workshop registration. Select members from the organizing committee are responsible for the evaluation of project proposals. After the accepted proposals are announced, participants will have the option to form teams and work on different projects based on their interests. Sufficient resources and accommodations, such as fabrication materials and maker spaces, will be provided for projects in need of additional support. During the workshop, participants will work in groups on their assigned projects every day from 3 pm to 7 pm.
After dinner, the fireside chat program will provide participants with a social space and various refreshments. Participants are free to invite their friends to our fireside chat.
In the final roadshow, participants will have the opportunity to introduce their projects or research in the final roadshow. Roadshow will be open to the public with an entrance fee.
